Some Of Our Activities

Albert Richter

“At the age of 24 I was in a collision with a train. I came to Huis Uitvlucht in 2009 and moved into a flat at first. Upon turning 60 I was admitted to a room. I often ask God why I am still alive. I haven’t received an answer yet…. Although wheelchair bound, I can still ride my tricycle through town, enjoying it.”

Joyce Louw

“I am wheelchair bound because of family violence. I have been in Huis Uitvlucht for eleven years in all. I love singing, especially gospel songs. I have many friends here and we love getting together. The nursing staff look after me very well. The food we’re getting is nice as well. When listening to the stories of other residents it seems unnecessary to ever complain again..”

Donations

We do fundraising such as a golfing day, coffee shop, secretary day, valentines day and a bazaar to support our budget.  Donations and fundraising are important to be sustainable.
